Services
TMi is expert at machining complex aluminum castings. Having been captive to an aluminum foundry for many years, we have gained invaluable experience dealing with variations inherent to the casting process. Our CNC machines have full probing capabilities allowing us to adjust start dimensions when appropriate.
We can machine prototypes from billet while simultaneously building patterns and developing castings. The relationship we have with a number of excellent foundries, pattern shops and finishers allow us to select the process that is best for the customer in both cost and functionality.
As an example; parts used in a medical equipment assembly consisting of 3 V-Process aluminum castings, 2 steel investment castings, 2 aluminum extrusions and a part machined from billet are powder coated, test assembled and shipped to the customer in sets meeting the customer’s just in time delivery schedule.
